New things EVERY day!

Sadie is growing and learning faster than ever lately! I have to share some of my latest favorites!

My mom was on the phone and Sadie did one of her high pitched squeals so I put my finger to my lips and told her to "SHHH!" She immediately put her finger to her lips and said "Shhh"

I've been trying to teach her the sign language for "more" for about 2 months. She would do it now and then but never as a regular thing that she really understood. Well now she does "more" and "please" and she actually knows that it's going to get her something. SO CUTE! We're working on signs for "milk", "thank you" and "finished".

Sadie is a jabber mouth so don't worry about us pushing too much sign language on her. This morning when she woke up she sat straight up, grabbed her feet and said "shoes?" We're in big trouble with this little girl with one of her first three words being shoes.

Daric and I were set apart today for our new callings. We're teaching the 14 year old Sunday school class together. (We're botyh really excited!) Sadie stared at the small circle of men with their hands on her daddy's head with a very confused look on her face. The next thing I knew I had both of her small hands on top of my own head. I kicked Daric hoping he'd get to see but he didn't look quick enough. He was being set apart and receiving a blessing after all. I know it wasn't very reverent of me to do but it was too cute, I wanted her daddy to see. :)

A few last small things...
She loves to have her finger in her nose
She can show you where her belly button, her ear and her nose is.
She thinks it's hilarious to find mommy's belly button and tries to pull my shirt up to show just about anyone. Good thing there are lots of layers usually. :)
When she wants something she points and says "Me, me, me!" That one isn't so cute for very long.
She makes the "vroom" sound when playing with cars.
She loves to help wipe just about anything in Grandma's kitchen with a rag and she throws her own diapers away.

Well, I could go on and on, I just can't believe that my baby is turning into such a smart little girl. I'm so thankful to be a mommy and I can't believe we're so blessed to be having another baby girl! Although I have my freak out moments at the thought of it, Sadie is so sweet and so cute that on a daily basis I think to myself "Heck yes I want another one!" I know, good thing, cause there is no going back now! :)

45 DAYS?! WHAT?!

I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that number! Can it really be that soon?! These little countdown things are cute but it can really hit ya when you don't look at it for a while and all of the sudden it's displaying such a small number! I'm really excited to get this baby here but I'm also freakin out a bit. I know that the first 2 or 3 weeks will be really tiring and hard and that's really the main part I'm freakin' out about. I'm counting on the help of my wonderful family to help us through it.

Yummy Snacks!

just like any other kid her age.Sadie loves to put just about anything and everything in her mouth, just like any other kid her age. She's ate a mouth full of dirt while I was pulling weeds. She's tasted leaves, flowers, wood chips at the park. She LOVES rocks! All very typical things for kids to put in their mouths when playing outside. Well just the other day we were inside, I was doing her hair and I noticed she was muchin' on something. She was nicely distracted from me doing her hair though and I figured it was the typical hair thing that she thinks is a fruit snack or something else relatively harmless so I finished doing her little pony tail real quick and took her in the other room. A come seconds later I remember "oh, what do you have in your mouth child?" To my surprise I pulled out 2/3 of a lady bug!!! Gross! I don't know if she found it outside and it's been in her mouth for the past 20 minutes, whether it was already dead when she got a hold of it...eww, let's just not think about the details. Poor ladybug!
