3 Whole Years!

Three years ago we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. What an amazing day that was! We now have two baby girls and life is just as crazy and happy as we could have wished for on the Dec. 8th three years ago! I'm so thankful to be married to my best friend! Happy 3rd Anniversary to us Love!!! I want my skinny face back!

Blessing Day

Sarah was blessed on Sunday. I totally thought she was going to be a screamer but she was a complete angel! Her daddy gave her a beautiful blessing and made her mommy cry. She's 3 months old now and gets cuter by the day! Oh how I love this Sarah babe!

Diapers, diapers and more diapers!

Two babies in diapers! I feel like I'm constantly refilling the little diaper baskets that are scattered through out the house which means I change A LOT of diapers each day. I don't know if any of you have tried Targets Up & Up brand diapers but they are super cheap and we haven't had any problem with them. I never would have tried them but my cousin that has 2 year old twins recommended them. I figured if her busy girls use them without a problem then I've got to give them a try. So far so good and you can beat the price! Happy shopping...and happy bum changing!!!

Protect the little one!

So I've known all along that I can't leave Sadie and Sarah alone together for even the shortest amount of time. Well tonight we were all downstairs enjoying a relaxing evening. We had just put Sadie in her sleeper, brushed her teeth and she was having a few minutes of play time before we put her to bed for the night. Sarah was sleeping in the swing behind the couch which being behind the couch means she's out of view but only feet away from us. Well Sadie found a maraca and it wasn't until Sarah started crying that we realized that Sadie wasn't just making cute music, she was hitting her sister on the head with it. OH MY GOSH! I jumped up out of my chair and ran to save my tiny sweet Sarah from her monster huge maraca shaking sister. Daric put Sadie on the couch and gave her a talking too while I comforted Sarah. Minutes later she was just fine and smiling at me again thankfully. We have consequently moved the swing to the other side of the room where we can see it and better protect the little one.0.

4 weeks!

I can't believe our sweet little "Yeah, Yeah" is already 4 weeks old. I need to post some new pictures so you can all see how much she has already grown. I'm at my sister's place in Vegas for another week so I'm not sure how to do it their computer. You can click on www.triciabagleyphotography.blogspot.com to see some pictures of her that my cousin took recently. They are very sweet!

Two weeks old!

Sarah is two weeks old now! She had her first doctors appointment today and passed with flying colors. She is now 6 lbs 4 oz which is awesome considering she came home from the hospital at 5 lbs 9 oz. She's also grown half an inch! The craziest part is that we still haven't even reached her due date. I was fully expecting to carry this little one full term so it was a major shock when she came 3 weeks early! It is a bit crazy at times with the two of them but my parents are a HUGE help every day! I don't know how I would do it if I were home alone all day long. I'm sure we'll get there but right now it's so nice to have some extra help. Mainly they distract Sadie when I'm needing to feed Sarah or when I'm just wiped out and need a nap. I'm SO thankful for their help!!!

Sadie LOVES her baby sister and even says her name...well, sort of. It sounds more like "Yeah, Yeah" but she really is saying Sarah. It's really cute! She loves giving her kisses and would love it if mom would just hand her over and let her carry baby around herself. :) It is hard at times because I basically have to protect Sarah from her big sisters love. Sadie loves to point out Sarah's eyes(which means they are going to get poked out), she'll try to grab her ears, put her finger in her mouth and pat her head. Although we remind her all day long it's hard for a 16 month old to remember to be soft. :) Sadie is a great little helper though. She loves to get me a wipe when I'm changing Sarah's diaper and then she's always willing to go outside with me to throw the stink away. After she drops the nasty little thing in the garbage we both plug our noses and say "Ew, stinky" Sadie's sounds more like "DeeDee" but she sure plugs her nose on Q. She also loves to give Sarah her binky and she even tries to share her bottle with her. I love my girls!!! It's so fun to be a mommy!

Pictures to come!

Sarah is now more than a week old and she is doing great! Her days and nights are still a bit mixed up but we're working on that. Sadie loves her sister and can already say her name...baby crying...I'll post later. :)

Sarah Elayne Booth

Sarah Elayne Booth joined our family today, Monday September 7th, 2009. She arrived at 6:33 am after just less than 7 hours of labor & only about 25 minutes of pushing. She weighs 6 lbs 1.2 oz (I know, the 1.2 is weird, but that's what it said!) & is 19 inches tall! She has a full head of very dark hair, her daddy's chin, and the famous "Phillips ears." (very small ears for those of you not in the "know"). She is beautiful. She is healthy. We are so blessed to have her in our family!

Kathie is doing well also. She too is beautiful, healthy, amazing, wonderful - and the greatest blessing in my life! I love that our children have her as a mother, to teach them, guide them, nourish them, & love them. I love that she will be a role model for our daughters as a woman, mother, & daughter of God. She is my light, my love, my life, my heart - I love her SO much!

Here are a few pictures of Sarah, our new family, & some of our friends & loved ones that were able to visit us today. I cannot post all of our pictures because of the network here at the hospital, but I will put together a slideshow for our blog & create a photo album to post on facebook for any of you who follow Kathie &/or I on there also. We love & thank you all for your support and love towards us!

New things EVERY day!

Sadie is growing and learning faster than ever lately! I have to share some of my latest favorites!

My mom was on the phone and Sadie did one of her high pitched squeals so I put my finger to my lips and told her to "SHHH!" She immediately put her finger to her lips and said "Shhh"

I've been trying to teach her the sign language for "more" for about 2 months. She would do it now and then but never as a regular thing that she really understood. Well now she does "more" and "please" and she actually knows that it's going to get her something. SO CUTE! We're working on signs for "milk", "thank you" and "finished".

Sadie is a jabber mouth so don't worry about us pushing too much sign language on her. This morning when she woke up she sat straight up, grabbed her feet and said "shoes?" We're in big trouble with this little girl with one of her first three words being shoes.

Daric and I were set apart today for our new callings. We're teaching the 14 year old Sunday school class together. (We're botyh really excited!) Sadie stared at the small circle of men with their hands on her daddy's head with a very confused look on her face. The next thing I knew I had both of her small hands on top of my own head. I kicked Daric hoping he'd get to see but he didn't look quick enough. He was being set apart and receiving a blessing after all. I know it wasn't very reverent of me to do but it was too cute, I wanted her daddy to see. :)

A few last small things...
She loves to have her finger in her nose
She can show you where her belly button, her ear and her nose is.
She thinks it's hilarious to find mommy's belly button and tries to pull my shirt up to show just about anyone. Good thing there are lots of layers usually. :)
When she wants something she points and says "Me, me, me!" That one isn't so cute for very long.
She makes the "vroom" sound when playing with cars.
She loves to help wipe just about anything in Grandma's kitchen with a rag and she throws her own diapers away.

Well, I could go on and on, I just can't believe that my baby is turning into such a smart little girl. I'm so thankful to be a mommy and I can't believe we're so blessed to be having another baby girl! Although I have my freak out moments at the thought of it, Sadie is so sweet and so cute that on a daily basis I think to myself "Heck yes I want another one!" I know, good thing, cause there is no going back now! :)

45 DAYS?! WHAT?!

I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that number! Can it really be that soon?! These little countdown things are cute but it can really hit ya when you don't look at it for a while and all of the sudden it's displaying such a small number! I'm really excited to get this baby here but I'm also freakin out a bit. I know that the first 2 or 3 weeks will be really tiring and hard and that's really the main part I'm freakin' out about. I'm counting on the help of my wonderful family to help us through it.

Yummy Snacks!

just like any other kid her age.Sadie loves to put just about anything and everything in her mouth, just like any other kid her age. She's ate a mouth full of dirt while I was pulling weeds. She's tasted leaves, flowers, wood chips at the park. She LOVES rocks! All very typical things for kids to put in their mouths when playing outside. Well just the other day we were inside, I was doing her hair and I noticed she was muchin' on something. She was nicely distracted from me doing her hair though and I figured it was the typical hair thing that she thinks is a fruit snack or something else relatively harmless so I finished doing her little pony tail real quick and took her in the other room. A come seconds later I remember "oh, what do you have in your mouth child?" To my surprise I pulled out 2/3 of a lady bug!!! Gross! I don't know if she found it outside and it's been in her mouth for the past 20 minutes, whether it was already dead when she got a hold of it...eww, let's just not think about the details. Poor ladybug!

~My sweet Sadie lady~

We have had a very fun summer so far! We have been camping three times and Sadie has had so much fun each time! My parent bought a new motorhome and Sadie thinks she just rules the place. These are her two favorite places to play. Soon she won't fit under the table though. :)

Where is my brain?!

I need to vent! I'm just such a dope lately. I missed the wedding reception of one of my old roommates last night and I'm so mad at myself! I know I wasn't missed because the bride and groom are so overwhelmed by the day and everything going on that they will hardly remember who came and who didn't. And Becky is so sweet she'd never make a big deal of it. What really stinks is that I missed out on seeing her all pretty in her dress and glowing. I missed out on meeting the guy who took my cute roommate to the Temple. I missed out on seeing some old friends. I missed out on a lot by missing this! AND she was such a huge help at my reception and I didn't even show up to hers for 10 minutes. I'm really bumbed! I got Sadie to bed late last night, went in my room, found the invite on my night stand and thought to myself "Oh! When is Becky's reception? It's got to be soon" Pregnancy brain has never been so cruel to me before. Sure enough the date was Tuesday, the twenty first of July. I'm so mad at myself for not putting the date in my phone the day the invite came! Grrr!

I hope I get my brain back someday! And to those of you out there that didn't hear a happy birthday wish from me or I didn't show up to your shower, please know that if I had a brain I would have been there. :)

We LOVE Summer!

Memorial day we took advantage of Daric having the day off and drove up American Fork Canyon to enjoy a little picnic. Sadie had SO much fun trying to eat every rock she could get her little fingers on. We're going to have so much fun camping this summer!

Mommy's little helper

Sadie is just growing too fast! She loves to help me with the laundry! When I'm taking it out of the dryer she'll stand in front of me and hand me one piece at a time for me to put in the basket. So cute! Sometimes she thinks she's helping when she's really just making a big mess. It's amazing how it can take you all day to clean up the house when normally it would only take you an hour. This is only because you have to distract the little one with something to get a certain chore done....hence the picture. I love my little helper!!!

FOR RENT

Some of you may know that we're trying to rent out our townhome but I thought I would take a second and let the rest of you know. :) Maybe you know someone who is looking for a place. Our cute townhome is a 3 bedroom ,1 1/2 bath, 1350 sqr foot two level home. We love it but we're wanting to put all that we can towards getting out of debt. My parents are doing us a huge favor and are opening their home to us. Even knowing there is a baby on the way! They must love us or maybe it's just that Sadie is so cute they couldn't say no. Pretty sure it's both. :)

I'm really excited to be in Murray again! It will be SO nice to see Daric on his lunch hour every day and for his commute to be cut from 30 minutes to 3! We have had a good amount of interest in our place...just no solid takers yet. So help us out and either spread the word or say a little prayer for us. Thanks!!! :)

Names...

It's such a huge decision when you're trying to name someone! I'm slightly obsessed with names and I'm pretty picky too. Sadie was named at 17 weeks and we just haven't been able to settle on a name for this baby. It does help that we finally know that we're having a girl and I've loved all the names we have talked about but I was going crazy cause nothing was clicking for me like it did with Sadie's name. Today I was talking to my mom about names and I remembered that both Daric and I really liked the name Sarah when we decided on Sadie. For some reason we just hadn't brought that one up this time around. Well, I didn't have to think about it for long at all. It just clicked! Once again, it isn't my absolute favorite name out there, it's never been on my "list" of names I would use for future children. (And I have had many lists) I just know that this baby's name is Sarah. Her full name will be Sarah Elayne Booth. Daric felt her move for the first time last night and I can feel her little wiggles more and more each day. I'm so excited to have another little girl! Man, I'm blessed! It's such a relief to have this baby named!

Sadie will have a sister!!!

I'm so excited that this baby is a girl! Daric has been thinking it's a girl all a long but I really thought it was going to be a boy. There haven't been a lot of differences with this pregnancy but I did think that because it's been easier that it could mean that it's a boy. Well, I'm happy to be wrong. Sadie and her sister will only be 17 months apart so we'll have our hands full for a while but we're all really excited! This baby doesn't have a name yet and it's actually driving me crazy since Sadie was named at 17 weeks. Something will click sooner or later though. This baby is due Sept. 28th so it's going to be a long hot summer!

Sadie's Birthday Party

Cute Jack Wiggins

Sadie playing with her cousin Lincoln Bagley and Kyler Booth

The Birthday girl!

Sadie was so cute eating her cake. She didn't get super excited but just dug right in
like she knew it was her right. She ended up with frosting everywhere of course! It was
up her nose, in her ears and all over her dress. And yes, it did wash out. I'm really
glad it did too cause it was a new Osh Kosh dress and she'll be able to wear it all summer.
Her party was lots of fun and I'm glad there were lots of kids there. Sadie had so much
fun just playing with the other kids. Thanks to everyone who came!

Happy Birthday Sadie!!!

Sadie is a whole year old today!!! I can't believe how fast the last year has gone by! She is such a little ball of fun and I can't imagine our family without her! She is walking all over the place these days and getting faster each day, she has her 6th tooth coming in (it will fill the cute gap she's had in the front for a while now), she is super chatty and loves to laugh at so many random things it's hard to figure out just what's she's getting a kick out of each time. Oh how we love our Sadie lady!
Pictures will probably have to wait til after the weekend but we'll have some fun ones of her digging into her cake for sure!

11 Months Old!

I can't believe it but Sadie is 11 months old today! I guess it's time to start planning her birthday party. I can't wait to see what she does with her cake. I think it's so funny that some kids don't even want to touch it and others just dive right in. I think Sadie will be super into it but you never know...I could depend on her mood. She is learning new things every day and it's so fun to watch her grow and discover. This past weekend she started clapping. I had been playing a lot of "Patty Cake" and 'If you're happy and you know it" with her. Now she claps all the time, except when someone wants to see her do it of course. She also loves to climb stairs, thinks it's hilarious when she gets in trouble for it and gets extremely frustrated when we block the stairs with the stroller as a make shift gate.

She has five teeth currently and they are coming in quite randomly. She has the matching front two on bottom but on top she has the right front one, one next to that and one next to where the left front one is yet to appear. She looks a bit like a jock-o-lantern when you get a big smile out of her. It really is dang cute! I could go on and on about our adorable little Sadie, she is an absolute joy and it's an incredible blessing to be her parents! We're excited to celebrate her first birthday in just 4 short weeks!

I need Daric...

I don't know how to make it bigger so this is what you get for now. I'll have Daric fix it when he gets home tonight but hey, atleast I got it scanned into the computer! If the pic where bigger you can see his two little hands. It was a fun ultrasound because the baby was such a wiggler.

13 Weeks!

On Friday Daric and I went to my first appointment for our new little peanut. I had to switch doctors because my doctor that delivered Sadie isn't delivering through my due date for some reason. I was a little unsure about choosing a new doctor but we love this new one, Dr. Hebert (pronounced Ay-Bear), so far. We were at the office forever because she was called away for a delivery but it was worth the wait because we got to see our tiny baby for the first time. I was surprised that she did an ultrasound this early but it great because I was just expecting to hear the heartbeat. I will post the pictures as soon as I get them scanned in!

Update on the lady...

I am such a slacker when it comes to this blog so my apologies to those faithful few who still check my sad little blog for any updates. I hope you enjoyed the slide show of our trip to Missouri. We had a great time with my in-laws and Sadie got to meet a ton of family she'd never met before. I really wish Missouri weren't so far away. We're going to try to make it out there more than once a year in future years!

Our Sadie is growing so fast! She is 10 months old now and weighs about 17 lbs. She has 5 teeth now, well she's working on a few of them but she sure likes to grind them against each other. I keep telling her she's going to grind her teeth away before she even gets to really use them but she's just doesn't listen. :) She's still our little angel and is as happy as can be...unless she's hungry! This girl can eat and there isn't anything she doesn't like! She really likes to feed herself and loses interest real fast when we try to spoon feed her actually baby food but we try to sneak in a few things now and then. She walks behind anything she can get her hands on to use as a walker, she bobs her head to music and it seems she's starting to wave at people but we can't tell if she's just excited or if it's a real wave. Maybe a bit of both. :) The newest development, which just happened this morning, is her new found love for climbing the stairs. Guess it's time to buy a gate! I love being her mommy, she makes me smile and laugh every day, I love to watch her play and learn and I just can't imagine life without her! She loves her daddy SO much! She lights up with the biggest smile when he gets home for the day. It's really fun to watch them together!

Isn't this such a cute picture?! I love that she looks all confused...hmm...I wonder why... :)

Cute Sadie moments

Our Missouri Trip!

Eating Bees!

Wow, it's been a long time! I need to post some new pics but for now I have a crazy story to share. A few days ago I was at the park with Sadie and the two boys I babysit. I had a small bag of Finding Nemo fruit snacks. I was sharing them with Casey, the older of the two boys and after we had been playing on the swings for a while I walked over to the stoller and popped the last one in my mouth. Surprisingly there was some kind of little fuzzy that came with it. I flicked the mystery fuzz out of my mouth and YUCK it was a BEE! I almost ate a freakin' bee! blahadhaha BHalhk! The nasty little thing was still alive in the little cup holder of the stoller but it just curled up and died. I called Daric to share I horrible experience but got no answer so I called my mom. I knew she would really appreicate the story! She REALLY hates bees!

Christmas Slideshow

I know this is so late but I just had to share pictures of Sadie at Christmas! While we were decorating our Christmas tree Sadie got a hold of a candy cane and I didn't think anything of it. They're wrapped in plastic, no harm in her gumming on it for a few minutes. HA! Rookie mistake! She broke it and of course broke through the plastic. She had candy cane drool all down her bare belly and she got SO mad when we took it away. We'll always remember Sadie's first sugar rush! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. Can you believe the first month of 2009 is already almost over?!

Sadie's first Christmas

The new walker toy...

Daric reminded me tonight that in 3 1/2 months we're going to have a one year old and the reality of how soon she'll be walking hit me pretty hard. She's growing so fast, I can't believe we're going to be the parents of a one year old! This video is kinda long but she makes some pretty cute noises at the end. :)
