Pumpkins and Sadiekins!

We're in trouble!

Sadie rolled over for the first time today and I totally missed out on the moment! I was in the kitchen where I nanny and I had left her lying on her back in the living room for a few minutes. I look over the high counter into the living room and she's lying happily on her belly holding herself up. I asked Casey (the 5 year old that I watch) if he put her like that cause he has been known to prop her up for tummy time before. He says he didn't but I didn't believe him at first. He insisted that he was over on the couch watching his show. My little girl rolled over and I missed it! I called Daric to tell him about the exciting event we both missed. Once I hung up I put her on her back again and sure enough she rolls right over like it's no big deal! I got the third one on camera!!!

Pictures as promised!

Vegas road trip!

Sadie had a lot of firsts this past weekend and I've been so excited to blog about it. I was waiting for the pictures to be uploaded to the computer but I can't wait any more or I'll forget everything I wanted to tell about. So the pics will come shortly...

She had her first road trip, her first boating exprience, wore her first life jacket, her first time playing in sand...

We left super early on Friday morning with my mom and Jeff's girlfriend Dayna. (Jeff having a cute, extremely Mormon girl for a girlfriend is a completely different post in and of it's self but we're not supposed to talk about Jeff, he hates that.) Sadie normally doesn't wake up until about 9:00 or 10:00 but the excitement of having Grandma there to pick us up so early woke her up. No worries, she was a complete angel. She was an angel the entire drive there with only short bouts of fussiness and who would blame her? We all need to stretch our legs and get something to eat.

Saturday we went boating. I thought we'd have a few people stay on the shore and just trade off being with the little ones and getting to do a little boating so that Sadie wouldn't have to be on boat at all. Wrong! Lake Mead doesn't have a "shore" unless you boat in about 20 or 30 minutes and find a little strip of sand so Sadie HAD to come on the boat. We got her an infant life jacket, well Grandma got it for her actually. I thought she's hate wearing it and cry and scream the entire time. Wrong again! She was an ANGEL!!! Even with the noise and bumpiness of the boat, the crazy wind and her annoying bulky life jacket she was just happy to be there! I finally put a towel over both our heads to shield her from the wind and she fell asleep!
She had so much fun playing in the sand with Grandma and cousin Rachel. I got to jump in the lake which is something I missed out on at girls camp...another story. I even got to wake board!

I could go on and on about how good Sadie was! We had such a fun trip and she was such an angel. I guess this trip taught me that I need to stop being so surprised about Sadie's good nature. She's such a happy baby and we're so blessed to have her in our family! We love our baby girl so much!

Sadie has been enjoying rice cereal for a few weeks now and we've just started her on baby bananas.
What a big girl she's becoming! Hope you enjoy these cute pics. :)

wet Sadie!

I just LOVE the look on her face!
Our little lady will be 5 months on the 8th!
Time just flies by when you're loving a baby!

Conference weekend

This is one of my favorite times of year. If you've never heard me say that it's because I just decided this today. I love the changing colors on the trees, I love the crispness in the air, I love that it's hoody season again and I love looking forward to all the fun Holidays that are right around the corner. The thing I love the most though is Conference weekend. I love church in your pajamas! It's such a great blessing to listen to the Prophet and the General Authorities. I love feeling recharged and even getting that little bit of a rebuking by the spirit for not living the gospel as fully as I should be. I need a good push now and then and Conference always comes just when I need that push. The Lord's timing is truly perfect in everything! Hope you're all enjoying Conference as much as I am!
