Keeping memories

Since turning three Sadie has started singing songs word for word, reciting movie lines and trying to write her name. She's growing up too fast so I'm holding on to the cute little things she does and says that show she's still my little Sadie lady. She still calls the garage the fridge and she says "orngin" when she tries to say orange.

She's a big girl now....well almost.

Sadie is growing up so fast! We have been potty training for just about forever. I have finally stopped putting her in pull ups but she still won't tell us when she needs to go. As long as I put her on the potty every 20 to 30 minutes we do great but if I forget....then I get to clean up the mess. This does not make for a happy mommy! I just got some good advice today to have her help clean up the mess if she pees on the floor or anywhere else really. I'm really hoping she potty trained in time for preschool in the fall!

On a fun note...Sadie LOVES to sing and pretends she's a princess just about all day long. Lately she sings songs from Tangled. She'll run around in circles singing "And running and chasing and running and chasing..." and on and on. Now it's "keep wonderin' and wonderin' and wonderin'....when my life beeeeeginnnn" She's never on tune but she makes up for it with cuteness.

Sadie is a wonderful big sister who even let Sarah hold her very special bag of fruit snacks today when I asked her to share with her sister. The girls make a big deal out of getting to hold the bag lately...I guess it's probably that if you're holding the bag then you get to eat as many as you want. :) She loves to teach Sarah how to talk and Sarah tries so hard to copy and repeat everything her big sister does.

Whenever Sadie sees her mommy putting on make-up she wants to put some on too of course. I usually do some really light eyeshadow on her and then let her go to town with my powder brush. Well, it was one of those times where I knew she was being too quiet and sure enough... this is the face all that quiet play time produced. OH my! I'd say she has a future as a make-up artist, wouldn't you?! My favorite part is the eyebrows!

The REAL Santa and Mrs. Clause

Oh my goodness! Can you believe we got to meet Santa Clause and he even brought Mrs. Clause with him?! Sadie was so cute with him!!! Her older cousin Rachel was NOT a fan and would not sit on his lap. Sweet Sadie tried to talk her into it and convince her that he wasn't scary but Rachel just wasn't having it! I got the funniest video of Santa telling Daric that he was going to bring our family a Wii for Christmas but that it was for me and Daric could only play it with my permission. :)

When we all walked into the living room together and said "Santa Clause came!" All Sadie had to say was "Where's Santa Clause?" She was expecting the big guy to be there Christmas morning! I guess we forgot to explain that he was going to come, leave the presents and take off without saying Merry Christmas. :)

Hi, that's me. Dec. was a long time ago in the world of blogging! I didn't even post any Christmas picture! Well it's 7:38 am and my girls are still in bed and I'm going to take advantage of this blissful quiet time to update my sad little blog with some family pictures and try to write something of memorable value. :)
